Greg’s parents, Curtis and Judy, moved the family to Austin in 1977. His father is a retired physician who also served in the Navy Reserve and attained the rank of Captain. Greg’s mother is a retired educator.
He graduated from the University of Texas Plan II Honors program in 1988 and went on to UT Law School. He started his legal career at Small, Craig and Werkenthin before striking out on his own in 1995.
Greg and his wife Laura, a public schoolteacher, have been married for 22 years. Laura and Greg have three daughters.
Over his 25 year legal career, Greg has had broad experience in both civil litigation, including personal injury and business litigation, and family law. He is Board Certified in family law and is a mediator, having received training at the UT Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution.
Greg was a director of the Austin Young Lawyers Association and president of the Austin Bar Foundation Solo/Small Firm Section. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a Fellow of the Austin Bar Foundation.
In addition to his extensive experience, Greg’s calm and patient demeanor makes him uniquely qualified to preside over cases during what is often an extremely stressful time in the lives of all parties.
